Concept Art & Illustration for Film, TV and Games.
I have sixteen years’ experience working as a Concept Artist (along with some DMP work), previously working as a Design
Director creating opening Titles, VFX and Branding for Film and Television.
I am currently working as a Freelance Concept Artist for a variety of Film, TV and Games projects.
Companies that I have worked for include: Marvel, Industrial, Light & Magic, Belo FX, Untold Studios, Dneg (Double Negative VFX), Cinesite, Lola, Jellyfish Pictures, BBC, Studio Ellipsis, Longdue Games and Sharkmob.
Recent work includes Film / TV work: Avengers 5, The Creator, Blade, Willow (Lucasfilm), The Sandman (Netflix), Moon Knight (Marvel), Loki 2 (Marvel) and Antman Quantumania (Marvel).
Games work: Key Art, Props, Environment Concepts, Biomes ( and a little bit of creature / character work) for a range of AAA Games (none of which I can discuss online)
Concept work includes Key Art, Keyframes, Hard Surface designs (vehicles, spacecraft, props and architecture), Environments, Characters and Creatures and VFX.
I predominantly use Blender / Cycles / Octane, Zbrush, Keyshot, Maya / Arnold for sculpting and 3D work. I also use Unreal Engine for Games and Virtual Art Department work, I am a big fan of Gravity Sketch for creating concepts and ideas in VR (nothing compares to being able to walk around a life size scene or sit in the cockpit of a ship that you are designing).
For 2D work, Photoshop, Painter, Illustrator as well as the good old pencil and sketchbook, which I’m using a lot more.
I also have many years experience using Nuke X for Digital Matte Painting and Compositing, Adobe Premiere, Avid and Final Cut Pro for editing and Adobe After Effects and associated third party tools for Motion Graphics work.
